Ever-Bloom Tournament
The last regular season event of the Strike King Ever-Bloom TT was held August 28. Super low water conditions with the lake dropping nearly 5 feet in the last two weeks took much of the vegetation out of the equation, but as always the teams in this trail rose to the occasion with two limits and two 12 pound sacks of bass were brought to the scales.
Ever-Bloom Tournament
The Strike King Ever-Bloom Tournament trail got a "big show" on Saturday August 14 as Brian Bounds and John Warmbir smoked the field with 22.97 pounds of bass to take the next to last regular season event. They won by over 14 pounds! They had the only limit and also had big bass of the tournament with a 6.45 pounder. That big bass was also the Sam Leman Big Bass of the Year so far in 2010. This is the largest 5 bass limit in SKEBTT history besting Tim Fauth and Scott Anderson's Evergreen limit of 21.97 pounds in 2006. Congrats guys and what a day!
In second place was Brad Norris and Jamie Masenbacher with 7.99 pounds followed by Brian Estes and Dusty Whitacre with 7.79 pounds.
Ever-Bloom Tournament
The Strike King EverBloom Tournament Trail event on Lake Evergreen was a tale of two days. The fishing day was very hot and humid with temperatures in the 90's. At 2 pm a major storm blew in with heavy rain and lightning but the anglers from the SKEBTT proved tougher than the weather.
Rain soaked weigh ins are not fun but just about every team braved the elements to stay and watch. Thanks to Pat Welch, Dusty Whitacre and Mike Blake for making sure we got the fish weighed in and back into the water. Tough conditions for sure.
