Ever-Bloom Tournament
The 5th Strike King Ever-Bloom Tournament was held June 26 at Lake Bloomington. It started out with high humidity, stormy conditions and overcast skies and the bass were ready. Several bass over 5 pounds were weighed in and it was a slugfest.
Terry Brown and Mike Blake made it two in a row with a 5 bass limit weighing 19.62 pounds anchored by a 5.44 big bass.
In second was the team of Brian Bounds and John Hodge with 5 bass weighing 18.86 pounds.
Third place was Brad Norris and Jamie Maisenbacher with 4 bass weighing 12.90 pounds. Dave Norris and Greg Bayles had big bass of the event with a 6.28 pound bass. They also got 4th place with 10.58 pounds.
There were 34 bass weighed in weighing 92 pounds for a 2.71 average.
The Sam Leman Heavyweight of the Year is led by Brown and Blake with 54.33 pounds followed by Bounds and Hodge with 34.88 pounds. Sam Leman Big Bass of the Year is now held by Dave Norris and Greg Bayles with the 6.28 pounder.
The next Strike King Ever-Bloom Tournament is on Evergreen Lake July 17th and will launch out of White Oak ramp due to a Tri-Sharks race held at Comlara Park that morning.
