Ever-Bloom Tournament
The last regular season event of the Strike King Ever-Bloom TT was held August 28. Super low water conditions with the lake dropping nearly 5 feet in the last two weeks took much of the vegetation out of the equation, but as always the teams in this trail rose to the occasion with two limits and two 12 pound sacks of bass were brought to the scales.
Red hot Dave Whalen and Ryan Robinson won the event with 5 bass weighing 12.97 pounds. They were followed closely by another super hot team of Brian Bounds and John Hodge with 5 bass weighing 12.64 pounds. Bounds and Hodge are now in the drivers seat with a 2.44 pound lead over Terry Brown and Mike Blake heading into the Classic for the Sam Leman Heavyweight of the Year. They also have Sam Leman Big Bass of the Year with a 6.45 pounder. The Classic is going to be fun!
In third were veteran anglers Jerry Martoglio and Steve Anderson with 10.69 pounds and a big bass of 5.22 pounds followed by Scott Bree and AJ Bailey with 9.03 pounds and Terry Brown and Mike Blake with 8.35 pounds.
The Ever-Bloom Classic will be September 18 and 19. Evergreen day one water permitting, and Bloomington on day two. All participants must pre-pay for the Classic. You can drop your money by Wired2Fish Headquarters.
